A guy was driving alone one night when the driver behind him was flashing his high beam on him. This was going on for about 10 miles or so. The guy pulled over and so did the driver behind him. The guy was kinda steamed and asked the driver behind him why is he high beaming him. The driver of the car behind said "Why is your son looking through the back window and giving me the middle finger?" The guy said "I'm traveling alone!" They both look at the passenger car door, and it was wide open.

Ya. Well, not a Ghost Story... but an odd Story.

I study at Quene's Univerwsity in Kingston Ontario. It used to be the first capital of Canada. It was a major port and people came from all over. Because of disease and so many dead people arriving on boats (died on the trip over), there are huge mass graves with over 10,000 bodies. Now it's a park. People used to play baseball; using the tombstone as bases.

Grave Robbing because the number 1 employment in the City. Kingston was the number 1 exporter of dead bodies. They exported them to other parts of Canada and to the States...New York and such.

Anyways, a very prominent faculty at Queen's is the Faculty of medicine. In order to graduate, you had to supply you own cadaver. The only way to get a legal dead body was outside Kingston's many prisons or the Mental Assylum. But there just werne't enough bodies for everyone. The students had to submit to grave robbing. The routinely hid the Bodies under the porch of Summer Hill (which was the residence of John A McDonald) inorder to not be arrested in searches by the police.

Two stories.

These two med students had just robbed a grave and dressed up the body as a person. They decided to go to a pub for a drink, leaving the body sitting in the carriage. A man found out, removed the body and dressed himself in the clothes. The two students came back out and got into the carriage. Halfway through the trip, the man jumped out and spooked the two kids. They fled and were forever afraid.

Story Two:

The Med Students were in the examination room for their final exams with their kadavers. A guy looks over, and finds his late fiancee is the table over. She had died recently, and his classmate had robbed the grave.

Hope this was enlightening and a part of Canadian History.

I was on a ladder repainting my apartment, home alone, when someone playfully yanked my ponytail. I froze, gulped, said "hello?", slowly turned to look behind me. No one there. I could feel the hairs on my arm stand on end.

Another time a friend was visiting, we were at the kitchen table when one of the branches on my fake tree started moving. He saw it and asked me, "What was that?" I started clapping and laughing and said, "Finally, I have a witness to my ghost!" He said, "No way!" I told him to think about it, the ferrets are in the cage so it wasn't them, the window is shut and there is no air current and even if there was any type of breeze it would have moved more than a single branch, no one else is here and we've been sitting here for the past 1/2 hour. He sat there silent for a few seconds then said, "Wow, thanx, I've never experienced that before, I have goose bumps now."

It was a cold foggy fall day in this small Mideastern town. I was at the graveyard putting flowers on my bother and sister's graves (auto accident). It was quite place with no one else around.

I heard a noise like something running in the leaves. I looked around and saw no one. I heard another--running closer. And after a few minutes again. Just silents very still almost unnatural no cars, no voices,no wind nothing but stillness in between the leaves noise. I looked at the monuments could someone be hiding behind them?

There are no such things as spooks-I assured myself. A few times.

I heard the running through the leaves again--closer now.

I know I am not hearing things. But I see no one.

I head back to my car-it is only a short ways.

Oh no-I heard the running it is following me now. I will hurry. What will happen to me-will someone kill me here? Who would hear me-no one.

I am almost to my car now. Will I make it? What is it? Who is it? The leaves are a loud noise now-it is getting closer. Finally an end to story -----Oh you almost gave me a heart attack Kitty-your playing in the leaves and Following me. Don't jump out at me like that again please.

Not really ghosts story but I for a moment thought it was possible.

Have a good day at work.

I don't believe in ghosts but I have found that all the best ghost stories come from older people. My Grandmother sure could tell some about the ghosts of miners trapped in the 1929 mining disaster, and my Mum can tell some as well.

i have a pretty good story

In the Downtown area, there is a bell tower over 120 years old

One night only two workers were working on the tower which was still being built. One worker had an accident with one of the large boulders he was working with and got himself killed. the other worker was afraid that people would believe he killed the other worker since no one else was around, so he took the workers body and buried it in the bell tower wall and he left for mexico the next day.

eventually, the tower was finsihed, but wierd things would happen in it such as moaning and things moving, no one knew why. A long time passed, and the other worker when on his deathbed told about how he had buried a fellow workers body in a bell tower in Cheyenne, WY after he died. Much later, in the mid 1990's, two local radio reporters got the courage to spend halloween night in the bell tower. They reported live from the bell tower, i listened to it myself, and everything at first was running smoothly up untill midnight. when it was midnight the reporters started to hear a bunch of wierd noises, bangs off in other rooms. Eventually really wierd things started to happen, like equipment moving on its own, moaning noises where heard, and the reporters got so freaked out they ran for the door which was locked and they couldnt get out. Luckily, one of the churche's janitors was listening to the report and drove down and unlocked the door for them. they ran out leaving all ther equipment and everything.

After that, the city got curious as to how true the stroy of the body i the wall was, so they took some sort of x-ray machine to the bell tower and sure enough, there were bones in it.

also after this, all the teachers at my school were talking about it and i listened to them one time during detention

Sometimes, at night, when the church is all locked up, people walking by at 4 in the morining or people wh live nearby will here the organ playing.

you can see pictures of this church in the 1800s here, sometime after construction on it was completed:
