Question:
Warped Tour 2011 Questions ♥ !?
?
So this is my first year going to Warped and I am super stoked ! (:
I'm going to the Orlando show on July 29th !
I just have a few questions about it and so forth.

-Is there anyway I can find out the stage/band meet and greet schedule before July 29th so I can somehow plan out how the day will go ?

-I've read other questions and some users say it's best to bring a backpack for when you buy merchandise. What are the odds of it getting stolen or someone trying to steal your stuff when you get in the crowd for the shows?

-I am unfortunately super short -.- Therefore I wanna try and be in the front of whichever stage I intend on going to. How early would be good enough to beat the crowd in line ?

-In other questions I have read some users have said that by the end of the day they are badly burnt. Is it true that you can get sunburned from just standing in the crowd and walking around to the different tents all day ?

-How much money should I bring for just merchandise ? At the moment I'm not too concerned with money for food/water/etc, just with how much I should save up for merchandise.

-I am fully aware that the concert will last about all day. What type of shoes would be most comfortable for the show between Converse and Vans ?

-A few friends have gone to Warped in the past and told me that crowd surfing was crazy as hell but fun. For anyone that has done it, how was it ?

-Lastly this question is just kind of for the fun of it but for any one who has gone to Warped tour in the past, by the end of the day how worn out are you ?

And ANYTHING else you think that would be helpful for someone to know going to their first Warped Tour would be amazing. I appreciate all answers. I want this to be the greatest day ever and I want to do it right (:

-When the gates open go directly to the Vans Tent they have a huge blow up by the main stage with the stages/bands/times. From their just explore the booths and find the bands you want to meet tents because they do have the time and where they will be meeting. Get to the band signings early because the lines do get really long and they cut off the line at a certain amount of people.

-Slim chance of getting stolen. I have always brought a backpack with me and it has never been stolen because I keep it with me at all times and never let it leave my sight. In the crowd no one has every touched my stuff.

-Get there 30 minutes before the band is set to play.

-Bring Sunblock!! Keep applying sunblock. Every couple of hours put more on to ensure you don't get sunburned.I only got sunburned one year because I forgot sunblock =/.

-Bring at least $40 for food/water because it is expensive. Here is a rundown of merch prices:

T-shirt-$10-20

Hoodies-$30-40

CD's-$0-10

Stickers-$1-2

Posters-$3-4

Depending on how many bands you want to see and how much merch you plan to buy bring $150-200

Go with vans it doesn't matter though by the end of the day your feet are tired.

I personally can't stand crowd surfers its not fun getting kicked in the head and face by them. Sometimes they even land on you =/.

I'm extremely worn out by 7 I'm really tired and just want to go home haha.

Extras:

Eat a good breakfast that day.

Dress for the weather.

Don't wear jeans.

Your water has to be sealed or you can't bring it in.

Bring: Water, Sunscreen, hand sanitizers, kleenex, brush, snacks (trail mix, granola etc..),

Remember to keep hydrated and take a break in the shade every once in awhile.

Eat a warped tour even if you don't feel hungry.

Explore all the booths a lot of them give you free stuff.

Wear clothes you don't mind getting dirty and all sweaty.

Hey (:

At the begining when you get on line, people will be selling a list of the concert times and meet and greets for us lazy people. It's about 2-5 bucks. It's easier and you get meet n greet times, and its a good memory!

Bring a backpack. I'm bringing a surf backpack(Hurley) Theres a slim chance of it getting Stolen. Put your name on it and phone number inside for if it gets lost. Keep it with you and dont leave it anywhere! LEAVE IT ON!

I usually leave the band 10 minutes early and rush to the next stage. It helped out alot to get in front!

You will get burnted even if walking into different tents. Bring sunblock! but make sure its like 30 or more and alot of it to share. It helpss everyone! Make sure it doesn't explode in your bag. Put it in a baggy.

For merch and money all together. I brought a good 100 bucks. Merch is VERY expensive depending on what and you will need to get food. For me it wasn't enough, then again, I buy everything so it varys. Make you dont lose it. Put it in a bag(sandwhich bag) and put it in your shoe. You won't lose it, you can feel it. but make sure your shoes are on TIGHTLY.

WEAR VANS! Find a nice pair that won't get ruined, and that have ankle support(ankle tops) It is VANS after all. Converse wont make you look good lol

Crowd Surfers depend on shows. For more metal shows. It's hard to avoid but help to fun

I went to warped tour since 2006 (I missed 10 tho)

IT WAS AMAZING. BEST EXPERIENCE. EVERY YEAR IS GREAT. IT'S AMAZING. YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT

Bring a bottle of water and some granola bars. make sure its unopened.

have fun. stick together. locate the medical tent and food tents before anything.

have fun (:

-You wont know until you get there, or if you follow the bands on Twitter, Facebook, etc, they'll probably have some information about it.

-I wouldn't bring a backpack. I've been going for three years and I'm fine. They have to check it, and people could pick pocket you so I wouldn't bother. You can buy bags at the concert or sometimes they just hand them out, so I would just do that.

-Me too, I feel your pain. But don't try to beat it, just move your way forward and push through people.

-HOLY CRAP YES! I have two years worth of Warped sunburn STILL! Wear Sunscreen and re-apply like crazy.

-Shirts are usually $20 so depending on how many shirts you want. I'd say around $80-$100

-Converse. I love Vans too, but Converse are way more comfortable.

-My sister did it, they dropped her on her head. It's not smart to do, so I wouldn't suggest it.

-I'm not worn out at all. I have so much energy left in me afterwards.

Additional Info: Listen to promoters, bring unopened water, and most importantly: TIP THE MERCH GUY.
