I am trying to ake a file not read-only in my CD-R disk. I clicked proprties then unchecked the readonly box.?

you cannot do it on a CD... first copy on hard disk then do it... most CDr CDs are write protected once data is written on it.

It's a CD... it can only be read only. You can save the same file (updated) over it. You can't save the file to CD from a program. It has to be saved and then written to the CD.



But why would you need a video to be anything other than read only? All you can do is watch it. unless you plan to edit it. But then you wouldn't want to do that right on the CD.

CD-R, once written, is a read-only format. You cannot NOT make the contents read-only.
