graceland Was there ever a tour of the upstairs when it first opened?

I was wondering did anyone ever get to see the upstairs at Graceland. My inlaws said they got to go up to the bedrooms . They are gone now so I can't ask for sure.

No I'm not 100% sure, but I read in some book about Elvis that no one was ever allowed to go upstairs. They never opened it to the public and the only people besides police and family that has been up there were few and far between and they were friends of the family (like Nicholas Cage has been up there!)

No, they won't let you upstairs but I have seen pics of the upstairs. I believe Elvis is living up there so u are not allow up there

when i went in 92 some {but few} of the upstairs was open,they only showe about 3 rooms up there but at 1 time some of it was open /////////hoped it helped ya

no I was there about 8 years ago and the stairs were roped off.you could go through most but the upstairs and a couple of rooms downstairs were roped off...
