Anathema - One Last Goodbye

The lyrics and music are amazing. If you look it up on youtube.com you'll see an acoustic version with incorporates an orchestra. The song was written by the vocalist and his brother after their mother died. It's extremely beautiful. Anyone that lost someone will definately find peace and understanding in the song.

Christmas Shoes---- Story about compassion and a adult helping a child that was wanting to give a gift to his mother that was dying. This is based on a true story that happened at a Alco Discount store in Kansas.

A Babies Prayer--By Kathy Trocolli. ----It's a story from a babies point of view about the mother having an aborthion. The baby ask for forgiveness because the mother did not know what she was really doing. Tear jearker all the way. At a huge confrence, there was not a dry eye in sight.

"The Greatest Man I Never Knew" by Reba McEntire

(This song portrays many of the "dads" of the baby boomer era.) My father passed away in 2003 and to this day I cannot listen to this song without tears falling.

The greatest man I never knew

Lived just down the hall

And everyday we said hello

But never touched at all

He was in his paper

I was in my room

How was I to know he thought I hung the moon

The greatest man I never knew

Came home late every night

He never had too much to say

Too much was on his mind

I never really knew him

And now it seems so sad

Everything he gave to us took all he had

Then the days turned into years

And the memories to black and white

He grew cold like an old winter wind

Blowing across my life

The greatest words I never heard

I guess I'll never hear

The man I thought would never die

S'been dead almost a year

He was good at business

But there was business left to do

He never said he loved me

Guess he thought I knew

Well, the only song I ever cried over was "Crimson and Clover" by Tommy James and The Shondells but that was because I'd just split up with this bird. But "He's The Little Boy That Santa Claus Forgot" by Johnny Adams chokes me up whenever I hear that.

My ten-year old daughter signing "O Little Town of Bethlehem" with the primary school choir at her Christmas concert last night. And realising it would be the last time I went to a Christmas concert, as she's the youngest of the kids, they don't do it at secondary school, and we don't go to church (don't believe in god, so not much point). Time passes, they grow up and, hey, maybe I'll have grandchildren one day.

Also, anything my musician brother recorded before his death by drowning ten years ago, but I ration listenings to a couple of times a year, especially the songs he recorded for my children's birthdays. Oh well, mustn't get too morbid...

'Chasing Cars' by Snow Patrol. My Uncle passed away in October, and as we turned into the cemetary, the song began playing on the radio. I thought it was so fitting. So I shed a few tears everytime I hear it.

I don't know the name of it, but a country and western singer talks about how a little boy is buying some shoes for his mama to look nice when she meets Jesus on Christmas. The little boy says to hurry because there's not much time.

Somebody tell me what it is!

There are children singing the chorus, " Sir I want to buy these shoes for my mama, please".....something, something

Aaaaaargh! It's on the tip of my tongue.

There are so many, and I really do shed tears.

"Anniversary song" by Eva Cassidy was the last one I heard that did this to me, even the title brings back the lump in my throat.

Michael Jackson's Heal The World - when our students were singing it at our 2003 Peace One Day ceremony.

I broke down and cried like a baby looking at all their faces showing they were so convinced that they were going to do just that.

That was one heck of a life lesson!

R. Kelly - I Wish.

I wish that I could

hold you now

I wish that I could

touch you now

I wish that I could talk to you

Be with you somehow

I know you're in a better place

Even though I can't see

your face

I know you're smilin'

down at me

Sayin' everything's OK

And if I make it out this

thug life

I'll see you again someday

I wish,I wish,I wish,

I wish,I wish,I wish
