Are the Star Trek fan movies like 'Starship Exeter' and 'Of Gods and Men' canon?

A question for any Trekkers out there...
There have been some great fan made Star Trek short films online, some starring actors who appeared in the original series. There is 'Star Trek- The Continuing Voyages', in which George Takei and Walter Koenig have appeared. 'Of Gods and Men' is packed to the gills with actors who appeared in the different Star Trek shows- And Starship Exeter has stories on the Constitutuion class starship Exteter, after Capt Tracey was arrested and the ship decontaminated and recrewed...
Are any of these fan based films seen as part of the 'real' Star Trek canon? As actorsfrom the different Star Trek series have appeared, I wonder if that gives them legitimacy- Although I don't think the one about the USS Exeter has had any orginal ST cast members guest star...
'Of Gods and Men' had a newly constructed duplicate of the Enterprise- the NCC 1701-M- That seemed odd, as it had never been mentioned in any of the series set in the future.
Canon, or fan fiction?

Hello!

To begin with, the first web-based series that you mentioned is actually called STAR TREK: NEW VOYAGES, an excellent series which picks up where the original STAR TREK series left off and continues on Captain Kirk's 5-year mission.

Here is a rule of thumb to follow when considering whether a Star Trek show follows canon:

"It don't mean a thing if it ain't on the screen."

STARSHIP EXETER and the other web-based Trek series that you mentioned have been on the screen - the computer screen. Get the picture? Case closed! Now if only CBS/Paramount would authorize these productions to be shown on the TV screen and also to be distributed on DVD!

i've got not seen the action picture yet. yet i'm an previous action picture star Trek fan, to be able to desire to speak. i found ST with TNG sequence and the action pictures interior the 80s featuring the unique solid from the television sequence of the 60s, yet on no account observed TOS episodes till merely recently. I comprehend this action picture is a time-honored in numerous strategies, the 1st action picture with diverse actors enjoying the unique characters from the sequence and flicks. I additionally comprehend they are changing issues somewhat. The Chevok character replaced into absent from the 1st season of TOS, and Dr. Mc Coy did not make his visual attraction till the 1st episode, absent from the two pilots. and that i've got self assurance they are changing the tale concerning Capt. Pike, how he lost his place as Captain of the employer. I comprehend the possibility they are taking in having diverse actors enjoying the unique sequence characters, that could come off as diverse characters. And the inventive team at the back of the action picture have not had something to do with ST. They threw out the inventive team at the back of the final 4 action pictures, who inspite of their constrained ability in making Trek greater palpable to a greater objective audience, have been engaged on Trek for something like 2 many years, or maybe they violated Trek history interior the employer sequence.

I would have to vote no. Roddenberry thought Shatner's movie wasn't canon, and that was a Paramount release! Of course Gene is gone, but you would have to make a very detailed review to see if anything contradicts what has been laid down as canon, and if there were any inconsistencies, then thumbs down.
