Machinists: Can you cut drum cymbals down?

I bought a Zildjian Z Custom 19" crash.

It has about a 1" crack on one of the edges, and my uncle works as a machinist.

Is it worth shipping it to him to try to size it down to a smaller size, removing the crack[s]?

Or is this something machinists can't do? Thanks

No need to do that, just drill a hole at the top of the crack to keep it from spreading.

Can be done. Will affect the sound.

Of course, as is, the cracks make it sound awful, I'm sure.

Rather than lowering the diameter all the way around, you can have a triangular wedge cut out around the crack. The reason it makes such an awful sound is the 2 edges of metal vibrating against each other.

However, my best suggestion is to get a new symbol for sound quality. Funds provided, of course.

No. The cymbals produce a radioactive ability that motives the flesh on your fingers to become worse over a era of time which will be from moments after the first touching to distinct years later. even with area of your body you contact after touching the cymbals will also change into contaminated and finally ruin your body. you'll die.
